Veronica is the most wonderful storyteller. She has this amazing ability to completely entrance the reader to enter a world where time stands still and you just have to keep reading to the very end.
In The Secret Beach, her evocative descriptions of the location, the people, the day-to-day reality of the lives of the lifeboat crew, and the most delicious and mouthwatering food have a breathtaking authenticity that immediately transports you to the coast.
