We loved Emma’s previous books and this is another beautiful example.
There are so many layers to her writing, like treasures waiting to be discovered, moments that share tiny secrets, which finally come together at the end.
Like Greek mythology Emma has also woven in thoughts from The Island which add further depth and poignancy to this accomplished novel.
An utterly compelling, atmospheric and moving summer read.
